●come up KEY WORD「上方」

ある主体(主語)が、「上方」に「出現する」ことを意味する。またcome up (to)が「近づいてくる」「(値段が)になる」、come up withが「考え出す」「口にする」といった意味となる。

　　He came up to me.
　　彼は私に近づいてきました

●come down KEY WORD「下方」

ある主体(主語)が、「下方」に「出現する」ことを意味する。そこで「やって来る」「落ちてくる」「降りてくる」「伝えられる」などの意味に、またcome down on[upon]は「(突然)要求する、襲う」「叱る」「強要する」、come down withは「(病気に)かかる」といった意味となる。
